The visionary behind the vision

A few years ago, through divine inspiration, we made a deliberate decision to confront what represented a monumental threat to our society – abandoned young people with trapped talents and mortgaged aspirations. It is exciting that fifteen years later, we can see the results of this decision manifesting in many more ways and dimensions than we had imagined as more than one thousand young persons have been directly impacted.

For no fault of theirs, many young people in our communities lacked the direction and support needed to fulfill their destinies, and some others have had their potentials abused or unharnessed at best. This status quo gravely bothered me because I could very easily have become a part of it, but I escaped it! It is for this reason that the HCF vision was born.

In the HillCity foundation, our goal is to raise people of purpose that will make a difference everywhere they go. We achieve this by touching “one life at a time.” We believe that we all have a moral burden to support, help, and build young lives and; that this is the greatest investment one can make in life. Ours is an intentional adventure to discover, develop and deploy latent potentials. HCF is a structured platform to impact young lives on a sustainable basis and is available to all vision inspired principle-centered individuals and organizations. “Life is an exciting business, and most exciting when it is lived for others” Helen Keller. We are grateful to all the fantastic members and partners who have already identified with this noble cause and together we will make an uncommon impact in Uganda.
